Learning Structure

The Yerushalayim Chabura allows participants to continue their path of fixed Torah learning and personal development through daily morning and night seders. Nightly Learning Seder from 820 - 945 in the plush & holy Midreshet Ziv Beis Midrash located 2 minutes from our Villa. Optional Morning Seder from 8-9 covering Halacha, Hashkafa, Mussar, and the weekly Parsha. Night Seder is learning Gemara (Iyun Kal) with a prep shiur followed by Chevrusa learning.

Community

Live in a comfortable and convenient villa with like minded post-yeshiva working bachurim in Sharei Chesed. Option to choose your own bedroom or have a roommate.

The warm community of Sharei Chesed has opened their hearts to our talmidim, and the Israeli staff and students in Midreshet Ziv add great energy to our leraning.

Housing & Food

Participants can choose a single room or to live with a roomate in our beautiful 2-story villa in the comfortable and holy Sharei Chesed neighborhood. Our home offers 2 yards to relax in as well as fruit trees and a sprouting garden thanks to our particpants!

Midreshet Ziv is currently offering the bachurim of our program to eat dinner in their cheder ochel which is a great benefit.

Meet our Staff

Ruvein Katz

Ruvein Katz learned in the Mirrer Yeshiva and is originally from Kansas City. He started 2 fintech startups and managed the development of a few small business before jumping into Jewish Outreach.  He has taught and developed young students for over 10 years. In 2017 he started the Academy of Life Training (ALT) program and helped run the jInternship enterprise for 7 years.  Ruvein serves as the Director of Kollel Eitz Pri in addition to guiding the Yerushalayim Chabura.

Chaim Verschleiser

Raised in Baltimore and a talmid of the Yeshiva Gedolah of the Five Towns, Chaim Verschleisser returned to Yerushalayim to learn in the Mir Yeshiva after his marriage in 2007. He served as a maggid shiur in The Center Program at Ohr Somayach from 2010 to 2021, where his investment into the talmidim earned him a reputation as a caring and insightful guide and mentor. Chaim has also been working in the technology sector since 1997. He is currently employed by a US-based Fintech with an office here in Yerushalayim. Chaim is passionate about helping any Yid develop a stronger and more personal connection to limud haTorah and Avodas Hashem. He, his wife Nili and their 5 children enjoy sharing memorable Shabbos experiences with the many guests that frequent their Neve Yaakov home in Yerushalayim.
